Synopsis

"Having never killed before was a difficult obstacle to overcome for a professional soldier, and imagining the instant death or slow trimph possible in the midst of battle still made him queasy. But once you were briefed for DELTA GREEN clearance, the concept of combat didn't seem so bad anymore." Denied to the Enemy, by Dennis Detweiller

Story Setting
The unnatural has and, by its very nature, will continue to exist in the shadow of mankind. Marked only by madness & insanity in places where rationale should have prevailed. DELTA GREEN's ideology, which is to combat the unnatural at ANY cost, has existed throughout history - in one form or another. To that effect, neither yourself; nor your agent - are aware of any differences in the timeline of events prior to their activation.

The year is 1942. Less than a year ago Pearl Harbor was attacked. The world is once again at war, and you are one of the few that are already kitted out and ready to take the fight to the AXIS. On June 13th of this year the Office of Strategic Services (OSS) was created. You are one of the newly minted operatives selected for special service. But to clarify, you are NOT cleared DELTA GREEN. Regardless of your experience with the unnatural, you are just a soldier. You have a particular set of skills that make you the ideal candidate for this operation.

You and a platoon of 22 other operatives and one officer will be the first wave. You don't know who else is on the assignment. You don't know who your CO is. All you know is where to go and what time to leave. All agents will be inserted piecemeal into occupied France during the 2nd half of pre-game.

WARNING: DELTA GREEN is firmly rooted in historical authenticity. The good, the bad, and the abhorrent. As a GM I will be as sensitive as possible to certain topics. But the material presented here will be graphically, historically, and at times psychologically disturbing. If it becomes too much for you as a player do not hesitate to reach out via PM. I want to give everyone brave enough to dip their toes into this tenebrous world, a chance to see the light on the other side.
